Just like the symptoms of COVID-19 itself, the side effects experienced during recovery from COVID-19 can vary widely from person to person.

This variance applies to the length of recovery as well. While most people with mild cases recover within 1 to 2 weeks, others find that recovery can take as long as 3 weeks. And, for those who have had severe cases of COVID, recovery often takes 6 weeks or more.

Some of COVID’s long-lasting side effects:

  • Fatigue
  • Muscle weakness and/or body aches
  • Shortness of breath
  • Brain fog or trouble concentrating

COVID-19: Minimizing your risk

Wondering when to use a mask? Wear a mask when you are in a public setting, especially when it is difficult to stay 6 feet away from others not living in your household. You should even wear a mask in a restaurant or rideshare.

However, if everyone in your household is healthy, you do not need to wear a mask at home or in your personal vehicle. For more information on COVID-19 and masks, follow this link.
